Myrtice Doble Obituary

Myrtice C. (Smith) Doble, 89, died Sunday, August 9, in the Saint Camillus Health Center. Her husband, Walter R. Doble, died in 2006. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Hayden, and her husband John, of Powhatan, VA, and Susan Radcliffe, of Whitinsville; four grandchildren: Sean Hayden, Joseph Hayden, Kerri Marszalkowski, and Bethany  McGuiggan, seven great grandchildren, and many cousins.

Mrs. Doble was born in Whitinsville, December 18, 1930, the daughter of William and Bernice (Newton) Smith. She graduated from Northbridge High School in 1948, Brom's Hairdressing Academy, and the Quinsigamond Certified Nurses Aide Program, and she was a lifelong resident. 

She was a certified nurse's aide, a home health aide, and a Hospice certified aide. She worked at the former Northbridge Nursing Home and Keith Hill Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Blackstone Valley United Methodist Church and its Young at Hearts Club. She belonged to the Whitinsville Womens' Club, and was a past president of Northbridge Wives of Fireman Association. She enjoyed playing bridge, crafts, baking and reading.  

Mrs. Doble's Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, August 19, in the Blackstone Valley United Methodist Church, 61 Linwood Avenue, Whitinsville, preceded by a Calling Hour from 10-11am in the church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Blackstone Valley United Methodist Church.
