Patricia Ann (Frickel) Yellig passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in the UMASS Medical Center. She leaves her husband of 54 years, John A. "Jack" Yellig and their three daughters: Kimberly Yellig, of Clinton, CT, Heather Yellig Dominick and her husband Toby, of Alton Bay, NH, and Brianne Yellig, of Whitinsville; 4 grandchildren: Allyson, Abel, Yasmin and Avery; a brother Donald Frickel and his wife Mary Jo, of McLean, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Pat was born on August 26, 1946, in Eatontown, NJ, she was the daughter of Julius (Judd) and Helen (Mount) Frickel. She was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School. After graduating, Pat met Jack, they married and moved from New Jersey to Whitinsville in 1977. She was a member of Saint Patrick's Church, in Whitinsville.
While her daughters were young, Pat enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother. Later, she worked as a pre-school teacher at the Whitinsville Community Center, a job she loved for almost 20 years. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed any possible sort of craft from crochet and needlepoint to free-flow flower making and painting slates. She also loved pansies and gardening. She and Jack were weekly chaperones at Saturday night skate sessions at "The Gym" for many years. Pat truly loved being with children, especially her own children and grandchildren.
A Memorial Service at Carr Funeral Home, will be Monday, February 27, 2023, at 11AM. Calling Hours will be held from 2-4PM on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Burial will be private and at the family's convenience.
