Paul G. Moberg, 78, passed peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2023, at home, with his devoted wife Paula (Pagucci) Moberg by his side. In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Kim Cook and her husband David, of Whitinsville; two grandchildren: Nicole and Zachary Cook, a great grandson Noah Jacob Carney, a brother WIlliam Moberg and his wife Doris, of Hampton, NH; and Javier and Alessandra Flores, whom he considered to be like grandchildren. Paul also leaves Zoie the dog, his best four-legged friend. He is predeceased by his parents, Richard and Madeline (Wolff) Moberg, and a brother Richard Moberg, Jr.
Born April 3, 1945, in Medford, he grew up in Framingham where he graduated from Framingham North High in 1964. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He and Paula married in 1972; although they celebrated 51 years of marriage, they met in the 5th grade and grew up together but began dating only after he left the Navy. They lived in Framingham and Marlborough in their early years of marriage, then moved to Milford where they remained until moving to Whitinsville in 2015.
For 25 years Paul worked at the old Natick Mall for Sears as a mechanic. He then worked at St. Mark's School in Southborough until he retired 8 years ago. In his spare time, he built car models and jigsaw puzzles. With his daughter Kim, he enjoyed playing tennis and mini golf. He also enjoyed playing golf at area courses. He liked to tinker around the yard doing yard work and loved 80's music and 70's Disco.
A brief funeral service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday October 21, 2023, followed by a period of visitation until 1:00PM. Burial will be at a later date.
