Paul M. "Sweeney" Rosborough died Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at home. He is survived by a son, James Rosborough and his wife Linda, of Nottingham, NH; two daughters, Judith Morvan and her husband Gary, of Northbridge, and Shirley Iacovelli and her husband, Gary, of Milford; step-grandsons Wayne, Michael and Scott Morvan, their children Stephanie Morvan and son Milo, Katie Leigh Morvan and fiancé Alex Larraza and children Penelope and Finley, Nicole Morvan DiLuca and her husband Craig, Justin, Jacob, and Jack Morvan and a sister, Gladys Cartier, of Stark, NH. Mr. Rosborough was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Helen (Wouczuk) Rosborough, in 2021, two brothers, William and Russell, and three sisters: Louise Tedesco, Vivian Hart, and Geraldine Erickson. He was also predeceased by "his boy" Kato, his beloved Lhasa Apso.

Mr. Rosborough was born in Boston, January 19, 1930, a son of William and Melva (Murphy) Rosborough. He spent his early years growing up in Millville and moved to Uxbridge as a teenager to live with his brother, Russell. He worked as a loom fixer and supervisor for several textile mills throughout the Blackstone Valley. At the age of 60, he retired from the Stanley Woolen Mills.

Together with Helen, Paul enjoyed travel, whether enjoying the sights in Europe, island hopping in Hawaii, cruising the Caribbean, or driving cross country with their family. They loved to Polka, traveling to Polka festivals in Michigan and 40 consecutive years to Seven Springs in Pennsylvania. He and Helen did everything together. After she died in 2021, he enjoyed eating out, going to the casinos, and day trips with his daughters to Mystic where he would sit for hours watching the boats.

A United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Rosborough proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army at the 38th Parallel in Korea.

The family would like to thank Salmon VNA & Hospice as well as the compassionate caregivers from Salmon Home Health, especially Judy who was with his family at Paul’s passing.

A period of visitation, from 9:30-10:30AM, will be Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Carr Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Saint Patrick's Cemetery at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Uxbridge Senior Center, 36 South Main Street, Uxbridge, MA 01569.
