Richard G. Menton,90, formerly of Northbridge, died Sunday, August 15, in the Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. He was predeceased by his brother, William Menton, Jr., and he is survived by several cousins.
The son of William J., and Mary (Green) Menton, he was born in Springfield, September 20, 1930, and lived in West Roxbury and Brockton before moving to Northbridge in 1990. He graduated from Coyle High School in Taunton, in 1949, and he attended Boston University and Stonehill College. He served in the Navy Reserves during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Menton was a stationery engineer at the Natick Paperboard Company, retiring in 1979. Previously, he was a bricklayer in the Boston/ Brockton area for several years.
At his request, there will be no Funeral services, and burial, in Riverdale Cemetery, will be private.
