Northbridge---Ruth M. (Garabedian) Gosselin Devio died Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Lydia Taft after a period of declining health. She leaves her husband, Raymond Devio, of Northbridge; a son James Gosselin and his wife Donna, of Northbridge; a daughter Ruth Dumas and her husband Richard of Grafton; 2 sisters: Joan Rackley, of Spencer and Maryann Kennedy, of Washington; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Gaskell, Danielle Morse, Alyssa Dumas, Amber Dumas and Cassidy Gosselin; 5 great grandchildren: Savannah, Emma, Abby, Lucas and Jayden; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond, Richard, Robert and Edwin Garabedian.
A daughter of Arthur and Mary (Angel) Garabedian. Ruth was born in Worcester, January 2, 1937. After graduating from South High School, she worked as an administrative assistant at the Table Talk Company. For a period of time, she managed the former Spaghetti Shed restaurant, in Uxbridge and Babe and Garbo's restaurant, in Sutton. Ruth retired from the Northbridge school system, where she worked for several years as a special education aid with elementary and middle school students.
During the 1960's and 70's, Ruth won multiple New England archery championships. She and Ray enjoyed spending time at Old Orchard Beach.
Ruth's Funeral, at Carr Funeral Home, will be Saturday, October 1, 2022, at noon. Calling Hours will precede the funeral from 10:30AM-12PM. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Whitinsville.
