On Thursday, September 7, 2023, Sandra Lene (Simonian) Scully passed away peacefully at her home due to complications of Multiple Sclerosis. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend of 43 years, Dana Scully; two daughters: Michelle Scully, of North Attleboro, and Alyssa Scully, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL: a son Michael D. Scully, of Sutton; and 2 grandchildren: Charlotte and Andrew Scully. Sandy also leaves her beloved siblings; Christina Simonian, of Whitinsville; Carol Lynn Simonian of Douglas: and Harry M. Simonian, of Clinton and many cousins.
A daughter of the late Harry and Carol (McCrea) Simonian, Sandy was born in Worcester on September 21, 1958. She graduated with the Northbridge High School class of 1976 and continued her education at Worcester State College and the former St. Vincent School of Nursing. Sandy worked as a Registered Nurse for 20 years at St. Vincent Hospital before retiring due to her illness.
Sandy was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her friends. She especially loved spending time with her family. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. Sandy could light up a room with her smile. She was an angel on earth and now is an angel in Heaven.
Calling Hours, from 5-7PM are Monday, September 18, 2023. Sandra's Funeral will be at 11AM, Tuesday, September 19 at the Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Whitinsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Church, 315 Church St., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
