Obituary

Douglas--Shea Michael Crook, 33, died Tuesday, December 22, at home.  He is survived by his father, Sean Crook and his wife Barbara, with whom he lived and his mother Beth Hampson and her husband Chris of Lancashire, England, and his grandmother, Jean Goulding, in England.  In addition, Shea leaves his brother Joseph Crook and his wife Katie, and their daughters Alex and Morgan, of Gig Harbor, WA; his step-brothers Daniel Keen, of Seville, Spain and Jonny Keen, of Glasgow, Scotland; step-sisters Becky Keen, of Houston, TX and Rozi Hampson, in England and many cousins.
Shea was born in Manchester, England June 4, 1987.  He moved to the United States when he was 4 years old, living in Delaware, then West Chester, PA where he graduated from Henderson High School and the Antonelli Institute where he studied photography.  Shea first moved to Massachusetts in 2011, living in Milford and later Whitinsville and most recently Douglas, but he spent time in Washington State with his brother's family as well.  Shea was extremely proud of his English heritage and enjoyed  many trips visiting family and friends in England and Wales.
Shea was a kind, thoughtful and artistic person.  He loved cats, especially Hank, his beloved rescue cat.  During his visits to Wales, he enjoyed photographing the scenery.  Other interests included music, space and astronomy, and social justice - Shea was always thinking about those less fortunate and how he could help.
Please omit flowers.  Donations in Shea's memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes  Research Foundation, 200 Vesey St., 28th Floor, New York, NY 10281.
