Uxbridge--Shirley F. Betts, 58, died Thursday, October 21, 2021 after a period of declining health.  She is survived by a son, John P. Rodgers, of Waterville, ME, and a daughter, Michelle L. Rodgers and her life partner, Michael D. Sage, of Southbridge; two grandchildren, Luke and Lilyanna Rodgers; a brother, John A. Betts and his wife, Bertha, of Sarasota, FL; and two sisters, Cynthia Gallant and her husband, Christopher, of Shrewsbury and Pamela Betts, of Upton.

Shirley was born November 10, 1962, in Whitinsville, a daughter of the late John A. and Eleanor (Tiedemann) Betts, Sr.   She attended the Northbridge Schools and Blackstone Valley Technical High School.  Shirley lived most of her life in Northbridge until moving to Uxbridge 5 years ago.  She loved reading, especially mystery and horror books, and an occasional romance novel.  

Memorial calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 27, from 5-7PM at the Carr Funeral Home.  Additional services will be private and at the family's convenience.
