Sylvia Bedrosian, age 90, died Saturday, April 23, at the Milford Regional Medical Center, after a period of declining health. She is predeceased by her brother, Peter Bedrosian, and his wife, Suzanne, her nephew David Bedrosian, and her nephew Peter's wife, Deborah Bedrosian. She is survived by nephews Peter Bedrosian, of Whitinsville, Rick Bedrosian and his wife Bettyjean, of Whitinsville, a niece Nancy Sahagian and her husband Richard, of Burlington, and David's wife, Kathleen Bedrosian, of Northborough; 9 grand nephews and nieces, and a great niece.
Syliva was born April 1, 1932, in Whitinsville, the daughter of Aznavoor and Varvar (Mooradian) Bedrosian. After graduation from Northbridge High School, she began working at State Mutual Insurance, in Worcester. After retiring, Sylvia worked at the Pleasant Valley Country Club, in the finance office during PGA tournaments, and for the Town of Northbridge tax office. In her younger years, she enjoyed many trips abroad. Notable trips include Egypt, where she rode camels, Beirut, to visit family, and going on cruises.
Sylvia took great pride in maintaining her home. She enjoyed being outside working in her yard and was fastidious about her flowers and landscaping. She was a life-long member of the Armenian Apostolic Church, where she was a former trustee, member of the choir, and was active in the Ladies Guild. She was very proud of her Armenian Heritage.
Calling Hours, from 5-7PM, are Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Sylvia's Funeral, at 11AM, will be Thursday, April 28, in the Armenian Apostolic Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Armenian Apostolic Church, 315 Church St., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
