Victoria (Agsanian) Ovian died on May 27, 2021.
Vicky was born in Providence, RI, the daughter of Aaron and Badaskan (Badrigian) Agsanian. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers: Harry, Aram, and Leo Agsanian.
She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Nishan Ovian, who died in 2017. She leaves three children: Mark and his wife, Linda of Whitinsville; Craig and his wife, Tracey of Upton; Betty and her husband, Jeffrey Smith of Uxbridge. She was blessed with five grandchildren: April (and her husband, Charles Ballou), Major Mason Ovian, U.S.M.C.; Jared, Olivia and Colin Smith; and one great-grandson, Wyatt Ballou. She also leaves three brothers-in law: Steve, Mike and his wife Adrienne, and Karnig and his wife Diana Ovian, and a sister-in-law, Keene Ovian. She was predeceased by her brother in-law Kayem and her sister-in-law Ann. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Upon graduating from Central High School, in Providence, RI, she attended and graduated from Bryant College, in Providence, RI. After working several years as a legal secretary, Vicky then went to work for the Town of Northbridge as a financial secretary to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools.
Vicky was an avid reader and enjoyed playing games on the computer. Her most enjoyable times were those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchild--attending their activities, sports games, holidays, special occasions and family dinners.
She was an active member of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Whitinsville and its Ladies Guild.
The family would like to thank Darlene Chesley, her devoted caregiver, and the staff at Notre Dame Hospice for their wonderful compassion and care.
Calling Hours will be Friday, June 4, 4-7pm, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 5, at Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church, 315 Church St., Whitinsville. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Whitinsville. Current Covid-19 protocols will be followed.
