Terribly sorry to learn of your loss. Looking at young Raymond's photo reminds me so much of my dear brother, Kenneth Cordaro, who was born in June 1947 and joined the 173rd Airborne right out of high school in 1965. Think he arrived in Viet Nam in 1966...Ben Hoa where he served as point man with 5-man LRRP for entire time he was there until he had a nervous breakdown 1-month prior to his date to come home. Dear Kenny took his own life at age 21 as the Army knew nothing of PTSD in those days. Perhaps your Raymond and my brother served together. If not, they are together now. My thoughts are with you

Ray will be missed. He was a good person and friend. He was in so much pain and discomfort with COPD. RIP Ray

Though our grateful nation mourns with you in your loss, we can only feel a small part of the loss you are experiencing.

Your loved one will always be a part of our country's story. As such, their sacrifice on behalf of our nation will always be honored.

While the process of grieving requires a lot of time and, somehow, is never complete, we will be praying for you and grieving with you.

In deepest sympathy.
